FIGHTER INFO
Much like the South American crocodile from which he derives his nickname, Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza overwhelms his opponents, trapping and restraining them, until the opportunity to break their will or one of their limbs presents itself. A victory is signaled not only by the referee raising his arm, but also by his signature "Croc Walk."
The two-time Brazilian Jiujitsu world champion and 2005 Abu Dhabi Combat Championships winner made the transition from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition to Professional MMA in 2003. Having worked with Randy Couture, Forrest Griffin, Wanderlei Silva, and Anderson Silva, de Souza is prepared for the coming challenges. Souza made his Strikeforce Debut in December of 2009 by defeating Olympic Silver Medalist Matt Lindland.
